Section 28 and the Queer State

An epic promenade theatre production staged at Alexandra Palace that explored the damaging e ffects of Section 28 and local community resistance to it. Staged as part of the 2019 LGBTQ+ heritage project "Haringey Has Pride," celebrating local history and activism.

Highlighted Haringey Council’s prominent role in fighting the legislation and the broader social atmosphere of fear and defiance during its active years.

Used an immersive, roaming promenade style across spaces in and around Alexandra Palace to bring personal and political histories to life
